CRICKET JAMAICA TEAM AND PLAYERS

 Cricket is another popular sport and is revered by almost fanatics in their support. Cricket is made popular by the cricket teams that are in the Kingston Jamaica area. This is helped by the Cricket world cup being held in the Caribbean in 2007. The Cricket world cup  2007 takes place at the Sabina Park , the most popular grounds for cricket in the country and even more so in the capital city. Sabina Park will host the opening match for Cricket World Cup and will hold over 21,000 seats.

Cricket World Cup will be the largest single sporting event ever held in the country. The West Indies Cricket Board is responsible for planning, managing and executing the Cricket World Cup. The Jamaica Cricket Board is chaired by President, Mr. Leslie Hendricks, and includes representation from other top affiliates in Cricket. The Jamaica cricket board has the responsibility for the organizing of the sport in conjunction with the competitions for cricket, including the Capital & Credit Cricket in Jamaica competition, The Red Stripe Cricket in Jamaica Competition and Supreme Ventures Cricket in Jamaica Competition.
