years ago and the owners
restaurateurs wanted to
establish a new type of
restaurant. Red Bones is a term
used to describe children of
mixed heritage hence the Red
Bones Café is named after a
fusion of different Jamaican
food recipes things that people
could enjoy in one place. The
Red Bones Café is found on
Braemar Avenue and offers a
memorable dining experience. The

hosted many celebrities in the
past including actress Sheryl
Lee Ralph, actor George Sanford,
Trinidadian Prime Minister,
Patrick Manning, Barbadian Prime

Lennox Lewis have visited Red

The Red Bones Café has patrons that are hungry for more than just
food. Red Bones Café patrons are able to get their choice of soup de
la Nuit, Tropical Garden Salad, Callaloo Strudel or smoked Marlin
Salad. The travelers and
locals are also be able to treat their palates with a main course of
Linguine topped with julienne of chicken and shrimp or New Zealand
Baby Lamb Chops in a spicy Jamaican Guava Sauce. These are mainly
international Jamaican recipes that have been prepared with a
Jamaican flavor. This is delicious for most patrons. After a
delicious meal the restaurant serves up a delectable dessert to
satisfy the guest’s sweet tooth with Old Fashioned Rum Cake or
Haagen Dazs Ice Cream and Sorbets and top it off with either Blue
Mountain Coffee or Tea.
Red Bones Café has an art gallery, which is popular for its monthly
shows, which features different artists. The displays include
paintings, sculpture, wood carvings and ceramics. The spot is
excellent for lovers of poetry as there are several book and poetry
readings at the venue on a weekly basis. In the Red Bones Café art
gallery patrons are allowed to buy the items that are displayed, and
while the gallery's opening hours are from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 3
p.m. - 4:30 a.m. n locals can view the art pieces by appointment.
Live bands perform at the Red Bones Café once or twice per month and
poetry readings are held every last Wednesday in each month. Foreign
films are shown on the lawn every other Saturday when the weather
permits. The Red Bones Café is located at 21 Braemar Ave, Kingston
